Nucor entered the motor lam market in 1993 with a basic product for small motors. By the year 2000, we grew into a major player in this important market, providing steel to virtually every major motor manufacturer in the industry. Today, our steel can be found in garbage disposals, high efficiency compressor motors, generators, and large industrial motors. And our product diversity and market share continues to grow. Using Crawfordsville's Argon-Oxygen Decarburizer, Nucor now produces motor laminations up to Type 8.
