There are parts of Decatur that are so flat you can watch your dog run away for half an hour. So it seems fitting that a plant that can produce more than 2.5 million tons of flat rolled steel should fit in so well in this community of 54,000 residents. In addition to our state-of-the-art hot mill, our cold mill features a pickle line, four-stand tandem cold mill, a temper mill, and annealing furnaces. This 1 million ton cold mill facility has 700,000 tons of annealing capacity. The recently constructed 72” continuous galvanizing line is capable of producing 600,000 tons.
